A woman from Oklahoma was found dead inside a Walmart bathroom and her body may have been there for a few days, police said.

The shocking discovery was made by store employees Monday after unlocking the door to a family restroom.

According to KTLA, 29-year-old Katherine Caraway entered the Sand Springs Walmart about 6 p.m. Friday. She was seen on surveillance video making her way to the bathroom, but was not seen leaving.

Later that night, an employee tried getting into the restroom but after finding it was locked, placed an out-of-order sign on the door.

Employees didn’t check the bathroom again until Monday afternoon. When a worker finally unlocked door, Caraway’s body was inside on the floor.

Investigators are still trying to determine Katherine Caraway’s cause of death.

Investigators don’t immediately know when Caraway died and said her death does not appear to be suspicious. Authorities believe she may have died from a health condition.

Investigators are also trying to determine why Caraway, from Muskogee, was in Sand Springs.

In a statement, Walmart said it was “saddened” by what happened.

“We don’t know all the facts right now, but we are working closely with local law enforcement to provide what information we have that might be useful,” the company said.
